Delaware Technical Community College Owens campus held the 25th Annual Today and Tomorrow Conference on Oct. 26 and hosted business owners native to Sussex County, political officials, as well as Delaware Tech students and staff. The Today and Tomorrow Conference was composed of five main presentations that revolved around the theme of customer relationships in the new economy.

 

Dr. Ileana Smith, Vice President and Campus Director, said the event is “where good people, who care about this community, come together.”

Study abroad fair presents travel opportunities to students

Delaware Technical Community College Owens campus hosted a Study Abroad Fair on Oct. 20 designed to educate students who are interested in taking a study abroad course or who have questions about the study abroad program.

 

Event coordinator Amy Russell, said “the study abroad fair is an opportunity for students to come and learn about all the programs at once.”

Delaware Technical Community College Owens Campus hosted a Global Understanding Series event focused on taking risks on Oct. 25 and was designed to help students develop skills to assess risks in life with a focus on study abroad.

 

Event coordinator, Amy Russell, said the event was inspired by Matt Haley, an entrepreneur with many restaurants in Delaware,  and is dedicated to his reputation for being adventurous.
